We are recruiting volunteers from all three parishes in the  Catholic Community of the East End of Pittsburgh, St. Bede, St. Charles Lwanga, St. James, to help with improvements to the third floor of the rectory at St. James Parish, Fr. Tom’s residence.  This space has not been used in years and needs work to make it livable.  The work will consist of removal of old carpeting and painting.  We have scheduled two work days: Saturday, 10/20/18 and Saturday, 10/27/18 from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  We will provide gloves, dust masks and safety glasses, as well as hand tools and painting tools.  If volunteers can bring their own tools, that would be helpful.  Some experience in this type is work is helpful but not necessary.  If you are able to help, please RSVP to Mary Anne Mason at  [email protected] or 412-441-1994.  Lunch will be provided.
This will be a nice opportunity to get to know parishioners from the other parishes in our grouping.  Hope you can help!
